THE SUN SQUARES MARS:
On Saturday June 6th at 3:11 P.M. EDT this potentially explosive square comes along right after the Full Moon eclipse in Sagittarius and this will be a very high energy few days. We cannot separate these two events. They are of a piece and should be viewed together. While I am still guardedly optimistic as I posted a few days ago that this eclipse may represent an apex and turning point for the moment, I won’t placate the situation. This is a few days when you need to be careful and pay attention to your surroundings. Not only are we in the middle of an Eclipse period with this explosive square adding to the mix, but in many cities we are still in the midst of social unrest, riots, looting, and Covid-19. Well, wow! What can you say? As always the astrology shows us the energy under which we are working. This is a time to be alert and avoid trouble. If you are out protesting and you feel safe within the confines of your group then stay close to them and avoid any violence or direct confrontations. This isn’t about what’s going on in you chart, but what’s happening around you. I had many friends and clients working in the World Trade Center on 9/11. Some had awful aspects in their charts; others had fine or benign ones. Some from each group died that day. The collective energy can overwhelm the individual and we can be drawn into a situation that is beyond our ability to personally control it. Often the difference between a perfectly fine day and a life changing event may be a moment of distraction.
As with most aspects if you can handle it well and direct the excessive force it entails into positive and productive goals you will find that it is a very useful and proactive time. You can accomplish a great deal in a few days but that energy must be focused or it can run rampant in your life. You need to be careful. Mars is the ego, and the Sun is the will. When these two are at odds tempers will flair and the more aggressive side of us will emerge. You should step lightly, but you may find that difficult to do. Even if you have control over your temper someone else may not, or may choose to aim their anger in your direction. First let’s get past this weekend and then we shall see what the future holds.
